Day 7: Help... Radiohead is not cutting it!

I've successfully completed my first of twelve weeks!  WOO HOO!!!

So far I've lost 57 pounds.  Just kidding!  But wouldn't that be awesome.  I bet everyone would hit the gym for 7 days if that happened.  Honestly though, I do my first 'weigh-in' tomorrow and hope that I'm close to a 5 lb loss otherwise I may be upping my routine.

This first week was a bit easy.  Aside from the Gummy Bears, cozy bed and early morning flights it wasn't so bad.  My average was a mere 30 minutes of cardio each day which I think really needs to be a starting point.  Tomorrow my plan is to up it to 45 minutes minimum and move it to over an hour come week three.

And this is where I need help from all of you!  My iPod mix is just god awful for working out.  Radiohead, Morcheeba and Aimee Mann do not make a great "go get em" mix.  In fact, if I wasn't sweating and struggling to stay on my feet I bet I would fall asleep.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE any suggestions that you might have for a high intensity and high energy workout.  What get's you revved up when your on the treadmill?  What do you speed up to?  What do you find yourself yelling out in the middle of a packed gym cuz your so pumped?

Well, that's what I want!

Can't wait to hear what you guys come up with!

  1. If you use Pandora, there's a club/dance radio station that's pretty good.

  3. My sister recommends Timbaland on Pandora. I haven’t tried it out yet but she says that it really gets you pumped!

  4. Been meaning to give you some words of encouragement ;) Pretty soon you're going to be crazy like I used to be, getting up at 4.45AM to get in a workout before the work day ;) Music-wise, I am pretty all over the board. But I can suggest some synth pop if you want something totally different... try VNV Nation, they're a good "starter" band. Other than that, I am with Alex on the NIN suggestion ;) Get Jen to make you a mix, she is usually the one providing me with new gym tunes.

And keep it up!! Can't wait to see your new svelte figure when i come home next.
